Those who are qualified to care for children, the elderly, or people with disabilities unsupervised in their own homes are known as caregivers. In Canada, live-in caregivers must reside in the private residence where they work. Some caregivers may stay away from the residence of their employer. If the qualifications are completed, working under the caregiver programme in Canada results in permanent residency.
To fulfill the requirements of the Caregiver Program, both the employer and the employee must do certain actions. A Canadian-based employer must submit an application to the Caregiver Program on the caregiver's behalf in order for the caregiver to be employed in Canada (nanny). The Caregiver will need to apply for and acquire a work permit if the application is approved.
