The Canadian government is dedicated to preserving strong families when possible. The family reunion services offered by Canada are among the most generous in the developed world. Through the following programmes, Canadian citizens and permanent residents may sponsor family class members who want to immigrate to Canada:
Parent and Grandparent SponsorshipThrough this scheme, Canadian citizens and/or permanent residents can sponsor their parents and grandparents to immigrate to Canada as permanent residents.
Spousal and Common-Law Partner SponsorshipUnder this scheme, a spouse, common-law partner, or marital partner could be sponsored for Canadian permanent residency by a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Other Close Relative SponsorshipOrphaned brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and grandkids are other close relatives who may be nominated for immigration to Canada. Any other relative via blood or adoption may be sponsored by Canadians in very particular circumstances.
Parent and Grandparent Super VisaParents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and/or permanent residents are able to travel to Canada on the Parent and Grandparent Super Visa. A 10-year, multiple-entry visa is known as a super visa.
Dependent Child SponsorshipIn accordance with this scheme, Canadian Citizens and/or Permanent Residents may sponsor their adopted children and dependents to immigrate to Canada. The Canadian government is committed in its desire to preserve intact families whenever possible.
